The best location in Valto - ski in and out straight from the ski room. Outside the hotel restaurant when the sun is out is the best place to dine before you get back to the slopes.

Very convenient ski in & out and the equipment in the shop was of good quality.
Pauline, with whom we corresponded prior to our arrival was very helpful and helped us secure restaurants, She had excellent tips.
It was also great to be able to schedule massage at the spa in the last minute. Both masseures were very good!

It’s a perfect ski resort. Great for skiing and a great night life and food. We particularly enjoyed meeting our friends most days at the Igloo de Val Thorens . The actual igloo is a must see and very friendly English people who speak French. The perfect place for light lunch or just a drink with a great view of the slopes
We loved getting the piste basher in the evening which took us to a restaurant on the slopes
Chalet du lac With a set menu
You need to book in advance asap
Tango is great for a sit down meal or a relaxing pizza with friends on the sofas .
Johns is a great restaurant, you must book as it’s Tinnie and always busy

A ski resort that caters to both experienced and inexperienced skiers (such as myself). The ESF (Ecole du Ski Français) has very experienced and professional instructors. The sheer number of pistes and the pristine conditions are a sight to behold. There are numerous options for après-ski, catering to all tastes and budgets while maintaining an excellent atmosphere. Val Thorens makes you feel secure and at ease.

Most (if not all) of the hotel (Le Val Chaviere) rooms have view to mountains and ski sloaps.
Access to ski area and lifts is literally direct as you exit the hotel ski room you put on skiis and go directly to lifts and cable cars.
Hotel is very close to city center (5min walking distance).
The ski resort is immense with many options of activities for non skiers - sled and/or tube tracks, zip line (need to see age and security restrictions).
A good option is also the sports center with many indoor activities including swimming pool, sauna and relaxing wellness options.
City has plenty of restaurants and small supermarkets.
Some of the mountain tops are accessible for
Pedestrians - so you can enjoy the beautiful landscape.

Val Thorens is a very busy resort.
Val Thorens is a very busy resort. There are a lot of beginners and Uni students, making it a popular resort. The slopes closer to the bottom are very busy as a result. But skiing over to Meribel and Courcheval is so easy and is quite a bit quieter.

As any regular skier or snowboarder will know, Val Thorens is one of the highest resorts in the Alps as it's located at 2,300m and therefore a reliable destination if you're looking for snow. It has lots of energy as it's frequented by younger skiers and is good value for money!

Excellent skiing town with a lot of lifts taking skiers up...
Excellent skiing town with a lot of lifts taking skiers up the mountain quickly. It is at a higher elevation comparing to other neighboring skiing towns in Les 3 Valles. It yielded less icy spots on the trails even though we did not have new snow during our stays of 7 days.
We ate at an on-mountain restaurant at the base of VT21 and VT23 lifts. It has sit-down foods or self-service foods. The foods were great, and the ambient was very nice.
There are free in-town shuttles running every 20 minutes. It is very convenient if you need to go from one end of the town to another end. Otherwise it is not difficult to walk. There are many shops and restaurants in the town. Very convenient.
Excellent service from interhome, allowing us to store luggage before/after our reservation so we could get onto the slopes.
Apartment itself exceeded expectation for the price, whilst the building is quite run down the apartment itself has clearly been recently refurbished to a high standard.
Location was perfect, with direct access to slopes (via a flight of stairs) from the ski storage room (locker included with apartment), and multiple exits from the building to different areas of Val Thorens.
The service was appalling and beyond criticism. Commit to check in at a certain time and be late for it by 4 hours. Without luggage storage service which is very basic for a hotel - neither before nor after. They charged us 100 euros for leaving a garbage bag in a room that was completely clean and they didn't say anything about the garbage needing to be removed - they only informed us after we left.
Location was spot on. Ski to door and around good shops/bars.
Apartment was warm.
Views from balcony.
Quiet block.
Well equipped.
Communication with owners was swift and efficient. They dealt with our requests and attempted to rectify any issues promptly.
Cheaper than other apartments. Would book again.
Location of the hotel is so so perfect. Right in the heart of the ski area, so good for ski school drop off and pick-ups, access to lifts to be the first up, access to restaurants. Ski shop in the lobby is also excellent with great brands and range of products. A ski school also in the hotel complex.
Super clean and cosy hotel, with a lovely restaurant featuring great imaginative food, excellent breakfast with many options, a super relaxing spa area. Rooms are compact and beautifully appointed.
Most importantly the staff was super professional, always ready to help and make me a happy guest.
Everything! Location is great, ski directly from your hotel, Super friendly staff, ski lockers with auto heating so you start with warm feet, good restaurant and shuttle service to the parking (that is only a 5 minute walk anyway), the sauna is clean by default good on temperature!
It’s super cosy! The view to the mountain is amazing, as well as the location. It’s close to everything in Val Thorens. Having a locker to leave your skis is a really nice amenity. Staff were really responsive and nice! The duplex is modern, cosy and well decorated.
Exceptionally helpful staff who went out of their way to accommodate all our questions and needs.
Great location for ski in and ski out. A quick shuttle into the village (hotel provides shuttle service).
Wonderful breakfast. After ski pool and sauna was great.
Very good location. Not a Ski/In-Out, but very close to slopes, stores and restaurants. Nice views from the balcony. Building is a bit dated, but we have seen several very nicely renovated and up kept apartamnets in it. (Not ours..!)
Great location (perfect to ski-in/ski-out). Very comfortable to sleep (bed, quiet). Amazing friendly staff: Emeline, Neline, Hendrick and all others. I highly recommend Alberta. Excelent option in Val Thorens!
Cheap accommodation in the centre of Val Thorens with direct access to the slopes. Well equipped rooms with everything needed to make a simple meal. We had a great view of the piste from our balcony.
Hotel is conveniently located and you can ski out. Breakfast was good and set you up for the day. Bar area was great to relax in and near to the bars and restaurants.
Wonderful staff that went out of their way to help us, comfy rooms, nice spa, nice breakfast. Superb location if you can ski / rent your skis from the hotel
